Challenging people in the Battledome

Spacemen from mars stole all of my money!

I have experienced something strange today. After having no one challenge me in 6 months, I have gotten 3 challenges today. allo tha coounts and pets are 3 weeks or less in age. None are in the guild. Is there some pattern here someone understands? Or is this someone who has great BD items making a new side account to have some jollies pounding unsuspecting rubes? Odd.
