WHAT WE ARE
Spankys Book World is a Neopets.com guild. Its members are mainly focused on reading to and educating their Neopets. Most of our members read a moderate amount of books and have many other interests. Our primary goal is to provide all the information on Neopets books that we possibly can so that our members can achieve their goals, whether they be just to make their pets more intelligent or go for the gold with the Neopian Book Awards.
WHAT WE DO
We share book info, and our member’s interests are so varied that we end up sharing tons of other info. Since books need to be purchased, we help each other buy them by donating to the guild account so they can be put up for trades at super low prices and use ’snag’ alerts to let other spankys know about a cheap deal on the wiz, trades, or auctions. Sometimes our members give away a few free books if they’re feeling generous (watch the guild board for notices put up by individuals). You wouldn’t get all this just floating around on the Neoboards, so it’s wonderful to have a guild.

WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
Our council, along with our thousands of members, share a love of books both real and virtual. Reading books in Neopia can be a lonely and arduous task! With all of us joined together in our quest for books, we are able to have a tracking database, provide deep discounts on expensive books, and share information with eachother.
WHAT WE DO NOT DO
Guilds used to be famous for contests, but naughty scammers forced Neo to put an end to stuff like that. Anyone doing it now risks losing their entire guild for good. Frankly, very few people really participate in stuff like that anyhow, so it’s not a huge loss.
Books are not cheap, so the guild is unable to give away free books, but please check our Book Info tab for information about our book deals for guild members.
HOW YOU CAN HELP US
You can help us best by reading through the whole website and familiarizing yourself with how we run this guild. Being helpful and kind to your fellow guild members helps keep this guild running smoothly 
We rarely have Council/Subcouncil positions open. When we do, people who are active in the guild and demonstrate a skill we can draw upon are the people that will get those spots. That way we know the jobs will get done and we already know we can trust them and that they have the time to dedicate. It takes a lot to keep the guild running, and we need our whole team working together to get it all done.
If you really want to be part of the team, get into our guild and if you notice something we need help with and have the skills to help, talk it over with a council member. Being part of our team is not about prestige, so if all you want is to be on a guild’s council so you look important, please find another guild. We are here to help each other, not ourselves.
